The Trafalgar Suite

The range includes The Trafalgar Suite - a stunning collection of sofas and chairs made exclusively for Remember Nelson by Rococo Upholstery.

Additional embellishment comes in the form of hand-made tassles with Turks-head knots.

The stunning fabric design, by David Williams, incorporates HMS 'Victory', Britannia, 'England Expects...', elements of Nelson's coat of Arms, his famous oak leaf border and of course an image of Nelson himself.

Manufactured to order, The Trafalgar Suite is available in a variety of colours (Navy, Red, Pale Green and Cream) and configurations (3-seater, 2.5-seater, 2-seater sofas, armchair, footstool and cushions).

Each sofa or armchair comes complete with 2 cushions, and these are available to purchase separately to make a magnificent addition to any suite.

Large size Panel Cushions are also available. These include a panel depicting the Battle of Trafalgar and are available in the same colour range as above.

Nelson's Writing Chair

Some years ago, when Nelson's original chair on board HMS 'Victory' was judged to be beyond repair, one of Rococo's craftsmen was invited to produce an exact replica which now stands in pride of place in Nelson's cabin on 'Victory'.Who better, then, to lend his skill and craftsmanship to this new edition?

Created to the exact dimensions from those original drawings, the only difference is in the material used to upholster the chair. Instead of the brown leather of the original, we have chosen the exclusive Nelson fabric used elsewhere in this collection.

The chair has large pockets on either side, originally designed to 'file' Nelson's incoming and outgoing letters but now equally useful for TV remote controls, newspapers or magazines!

Issued in a limited edition of just 200, each chair will be accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Early reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment.

The Burnham Chair

Each Burnham Chair contains 3 unique links to Nelson and Trafalgar; links which add to the prestige and long-term value of these exquisite chairs.

* The back panel of the chair is made from oak recovered from HMS Victory during her refitting.

* Inserted in this panel is a sterling silver medal bearing a cameo portrait of Nelson. The medal is made from a special refining of silver (Victory Silver) which includes a small percentage of copper recovered from HMS Victory.

* The third link is the most obvious, yet the most poignant. The words 'Remember Nelson' carved into the chair back serve as a constant reminder of Captain Sir William Hoste's flag signal at the Battle of Lissa in 1811. His simple message 'Remember Nelson' inspired his men to an overwhelming victory against the French.
